Day 9: More painting and C.S. Lewis

We rode the bus into the outskirts of town again early this morning to see The Kiln where C.S. Lewis lived, worked and went to church. We saw his grave, his land where he would walk for inspiration and the desk he wrote at. it was so cool. We didnt get to see the wardrobe, but we did see pictures of the real one his grandpa carved for him and we saw photos of the inspiration kids for the four Narnia children. Actually, we found out that the girl who plays Susan in the movies lives right by our house and goes to University here. Then we at lunch at his grave and got some good pictures on a nice walk. we painted for a while... conclusion, i still stink at Painting!!! I guess thats why i am hear to learn:) Then we came back to town, did a little shopping and then had class with more painting. the evening was quiet. we did however celebrate our friend James Birthday this evening. we made him a cake too:) tomorrow we head off to Bath to explore... it will be tons of fun! I'm excited!
