These were pretty funny, thought i'd share...
Bad day at Hallmark
Ever wondered what happens when Hallmark writers are having a bad day...
My tire was thumping.
I thought it was flat
When I looked at the tire...
I noticed your cat.
Sorry!
Looking back over the years
that we've been together,
I can't help but wonder...
'What in the world was I thinking?'
Congratulations on your wedding day!
Too bad no one likes your husband.
How could two people as beautiful as you
Have such an ugly baby?
I've always wanted to have
someone to hold,
someone to love.
After having met you ..
I've changed my mind.
I must admit, you brought Religion into my life.
I never believed in Hell until I met you.
As the days go by, I think of how lucky I am...
That you're not here to ruin it for me.
Congratulations on your promotion.
Before you go...
Would you like to take this knife out of my back?
You'll probably need it again.
Happy Birthday, Uncle Dad!
(Available only in Tennessee, Kentucky & West Virginia)
Happy birthday! You look great for your age.
Almost Lifelike!
When we were together,
you always said you'd die for me.
Now that we've broken up,
I think it's time you kept your promise.
We have been friends for a very long time.
let's say we stop?
I'm so miserable without you
it's almost like you're here.
Congratulations on your new bundle of joy.
Did you ever find out who the father was?
Your friends and I wanted to do
something special for your birthday.
So we're having you put to sleep.

Biggest struggle
Secret confession... I am a worrier to the max!!! Okay, so its not such a secret, but I am. I don't know exactly where it comes from, but I do know that everything seems hard to let go of and every little detail has to be sorted out and solved in that instant. I am surrounded by people who love and care for me and would help me out if and when I need it... it just always takes me a while before that registers. God takes care of me and will always, HAS always provided and gotten me through every situation. I still continue to follow the same routine and worry myself into a panic though... its where I'm least comfortable, but I still insist on worrying. I just need to learn to grow and live more each day with the thought that God is always watching over me and there are always friends and family to comfort me. Just thought I'd share that thought that was heavy on my mind today.

Time with the Ellison's
This Thanksgiving, Bailey, Scott and I made our way up to Nixo, MO to see and spend some much needed time with the Ellison's. We left Abilene on Tuesday morning and drove over 600 miles. On the way, we stopped to have coffee with Zach Wilson, it was good to see him. on the way home we saw Heather Bird and Zach... had a nice lunch.
The week we were there we played the Wii, played with the boys, ate a ton, met John's family and just caught up on each others lives. It was a blessing to be with them and get to love on them for all the people back home. The boys are so big now! Eli is 5 and Evan is 3. We visited their schools and they took us to some of their favorite places; Bass Pro shop, Steak and Shake, Andys Custard, and bai and I even got to go on a girls night date with Stephanie. I got to nap with Evan a few times and put them to bed, much needed cuddling time:) Evan is talking up a storm!... so much different than the little guy I remember, he's such a hoot. Eli is so grown up and is just a smart little guy.
We ended up driving a total of 1,242 miles!!! Talk about distance:)
All in all it was a GREAT trip and full of new memories that I will cherish!

Romans 12:12
So in my studying and reading last night, I came across a scripture that I would like to share, Romans 12:12. It simply says, "be joyful in hope, patient in affliction and prayerful in life"... short yet powerful. i LOVE this verse. Yesterday I read it differently than I typically do. I was in need of God's words last night and struggling with sadness, stress of things and homesickness. I have been studying the book of Romans and have learned to love the book more and more. To me, this verse speaks of Gods unfailing promise that He's holding our lives and we need to relax our worries, be patient and hopeful. I think it actually ties well to one of my mom and my favorite verses, Matthew 6:34, "Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." and yet again, another verse that speaks to this, Philippians 4:6, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God".
This summer, I struggled to live how God instructs us to. I was trying to handle it all by myself, looking for a way to hide from the worries and stress, but what strikes me know is knowing how I was making it ten-times harder than it has to be. Wouldn't it be wonderful if everyone knew and lived by these verses, how free you would feel and joyful you would be knowing that you can give it to God to handle and just be faithful to Him while you wait patiently... Life would be sweet!
Its good to have constant reminders about this. I believe for me, one of the biggest struggles of life is turning over my life to Him, giving Him full control and being happy to do so. My personality being as such, i KNOW i will always fight this, but those times when I'm brought back and remember His words, I feel rejuvenated and peaceful.

As of now...
Well, lets see where did I leave off. Since my last post, things have been pretty regular and pretty much the same. I am still enjoying my life here, job, having two of my sisters here, and forming some pretty great friendships. I have a blessed life, what can I say. I want to start regularly blogging again, not cause I have anything new to update, just so you all that read my blog can hear my thoughts every now and then and just for the fact that I miss blogging too:)
Last weekend I got to drive to Lubbock on Thursday, take two personal days off work and I stayed until Sunday. I went to visit Katie and Chase, we had a really fun, relaxing time. I slept in everyday (well, if you say 9:30 is sleeping in), went to the pumpkin patch, ate out, did Christmas shopping, cooked with Katie Beth and watched movies... oh and NERTZ, we played lots of Nertz:)... It was just a very enjoyable weekend.
I have been so excited about my photography kicking off more and more. I already have four jobs to do at Christmas time and I am just so passionate about capturing people in pictures! My new camera is so amazing (okay, i know I still call it my new camera, yes, it has been about 4 months since I got it. lol).
My job has been keeping me busy. I have worked a lot of long hours, but its rewarding and I feel like it has and will continue to be a great experience for the future.
I am thinking and praying a lot about what the future holds for me in terms of job, location and such for next June. I will be leaving little Abilene in hopes that I can do fun and exciting things next year. I am anxious about where God will take me and what I will be doing, we'll see, but im very excited! Keep praying that God will direct me towards that soon.
Well, That's the update for now. Thanks for reading!

A bunch of fun new things...
I know, I know... I am not keeping up with this like I should, sorry!
Well, this last month or so has been so full of new things. First off, my office relocated and so I have a brand-new, beautiful office:) I love having my own space and work has been SUPER busy, so its been nice. We have done a lot of new things in the Honors College and have had great success in the events Bethany and I have been working our tails off to plan. I am proud of us:)

Then I was able to go to San Antonio and purchase my first car!:) yay! Her name is Molly. Its a 2001 Toyota Camry and its white. Its been so wonderful to have a car and its been nice for Bailey as well:)

Speaking of Bailey, she is here... so weird:) ABi and Bailey and I are enjoying all the sister time. We sure do miss Kenzie though! Bai is doing great in her art and college life in general, i'm excited for her.
Something very exciting, my daddy surprised me with my new canon camera, a canon 50D and a new canon printer! I couldn't believe it!... so cool!!! They brought it with them when they came down to Texas to drop Bai off. I am still learning all the bells and whistles, but Its going to be such a great investment and just plain fun!
I have a few freelance jobs here and there and have had some great opportunities recently for art jobs. I work sort of for my brother-in-law. He helps run graduate chapels once a week and they have hired me to do their graphics/programs for each week. Then I of course am trying to do more photography jobs here and there, wherever I can get them. I am going to be working as a second shoot with a brilliant photographer here in town in the month of October. She is a friend of Abi's and she makes a great living from doing what I would like to for the rest of my life. I also still kind of have the Southern Hills design project in the works. I am helping the church to redo part of their auditorium, its coming along. I have also been having fun painting lately, just for fun.

Lets see, what else... um, well, since all of you will ask, No, there's not any boyfriend:) Just enjoying being Kelsey for now.
My house is still great, my roomies are still busy and planning wedding stuff.

The weather here has been SO great! Its been cool and rainy for about a week now and we have needed it! Actually, Jake, Bai and I went to meet one of my firends this weekend in Dallas for an ACU football game at the Cotton Bowl. Our team is 3-0 and Bailey and I have gone to every game, its been fun. On saturday at the game it rained THE WHOLE TIME!:) I grew up in Oregon and I don't ever remember being that wet... SOAKED THROUGH. It was good to see my friend Kyle though and we won in an 81 yard overtime interception... amazing.

Bailey and I called the Ellisons the other day to make arrangements to go see them and spend a week with them over Thanksgiving. We will drive up and get to hug them for everyone, i'll post pics when we get back.
Well, I tried hard to think of all the updates I needed to give you and send pics, so we'll see if I did a good enough job of letting you know what Kelsey is doing now:)

My Trip Home
My Trip home was full of first time meetings, amazing moments and great times with great friends! I got to stay for two full weeks. The first day was spent going to my best friend from hight schools wedding, Jesse and his beautiful bride Lauren and I got to have a fun dance with my good friend Bryce... as you can see, he's a little tall and so he accommodated. haha

I got to visit with my parents and my sisters and just relax the first week.

I got to visit with my parents and my sisters and just relax the first week. The Martins came from Africa the second week I was home. My cousins Aimee Jo and Andrew brought their beautiful and funny children Evan and Anaiah. They stayed with us all week and we had such a blast. I am so I love with those cute kiddos, and miss them already! It has been so long since I got to hug my cousin Aimee and have some very nice chats with her, it was great!
We celebrated my parents anniversary while we were there and their girls got them this beautiful Garden bench. Happy 28th mom and dad!

Something else amazing that happened while I was home was our little Adia was finally there! She was brought back about a month before I got there and she was a blast! We had such a great time getting to know each other! The Klobas family is now complete and they are just so much fun! We went to the beach, a beautiful day!!! It was Adias first time at the ocean and she had a great time, we all did! Blake and Kaylin have been wonderful older siblings and Cheryl and Eric have been very loving parents.

I just had so much fun! I had so much to fit into the two weeks... they are always busy, but I was so fortunate to get to spend time with East County, time with family and friends and time with people that I have been wanting to hug for a very long time!

It was soooo hot the second week! We seemed to break just about every record and of course all without air conditioning!

To everyone back home... miss you already and enjoyed every moment of it!!!
P.S. Everyone go and check my photography blog to see the pictures I took for families while I was home... kelseybryannephotography.blogspot.com
