first week back my house flooded, third week back I threw out my back, fourth week back we were snowed in and now, here on the fifth week, it's just felt eternal. haha.
Monday, January 31st, it was a beautiful day, it was 70 degrees and sunny. Monday, January 31st at 10 pm, it was like the Apocalypse. It started hailing, raining, snowing, there was thunder, lightning, wind and it dropped to 18 degrees by the time I went to bed. The next morning we had 8" of fresh snow and ice everywhere and needless to say, school was canceled. I went to the guys house and we made an AWESOME breakfast and spent the whole day thoroughly enjoying our snow day. We watched movies, made dinner, played board games and went for walks with Liesl in the snow. It was a great day. Then, the unthinkable happened... for the next 3 days, we were snowed in. We had four days off of school/work. We found our snow days getting pretty boring after day 3. We continued to just vegg at the boys house, but I'll tell ya, you get pretty tired and cranky in a small house for 4 days with even your best of friends. haha. We did end up making our own fun, almost literally the whole city of Abilene was shut down. All the roads had a 2.5" skating rink on top of them. We did manage to get out a few times and escape to the few places in Abilene that could keep us occupied. We had another scare this week where they thought Wed would be canceled.... never in my life have I seen so many people that were saying, "seriously? come on, I just want to go to classes". lol. We didn't have a snow day, but it was around -12 degrees with windchill and that's COOOOOLD with the stupid 25 mph winds!
It's been a fun time, but finally getting back to normalcy might be nice for a change.
