Oh the Lollar's, i miss them so much and i am so happy when they come to visit us! we had a wonderful, very quick week. I knew it had to end, but it was sure great while it lasted. they took us out to eat, went to lectures with us, got to meet Kyle and just hang out and talk. Weekend With The Smith's

This weekend was great! Kyle's Mom, Gram and little brother Collin came to visit us at school. They drove in Friday and stayed until Sunday afternoon. On Friday we went shopping, ate dinner and visited for a while. Then on Saturday Terri Jo (Kyle's mom) asked me if I would take some family pictures for them and I gladly accepted. It was fun, we went out to Jacob's Dream and i took some pictures of them. The pics i'm posting are some that Terri Jo took of my handsome boyfriend I and I think she did a wonderful job (we were way over due for some pictures, its been a few months since we have taken any:)! ). After that, we went and had lunch together. Seeing as Terri Jo has three boys and no girls, she doesn't always get to do fun girly stuff, so we had a great time going out later that afternoon and getting pedicures together:) we also found this furniture auction nearby that we checked out. We had a great time, and my toes look fabulous if I do say so myself:) Then Sunday we went to church at Southern Hills and had lunch together, then they had to head back to Marble Falls later in the afternoon. It was a fun weekend and I look forward to seeing them soon again!

I am in love with Oxford

The last few weeks or so, I really came to realize how much I love Oxford. I was given an incredible opportunity to study abroad live and be apart of the European culture for seven weeks. Since I have been back at school, I have wanted so badly to go back to England! I have had so much fun seeing my friends and classmates from my study abroad group, but every time I see them, all we can talk about is wanting to go back:) I think if any of us had the money, we would all be on a plane there together tomorrow:) I am so blessed to have gotten to do that this summer and I CANNOT WAIT to get back there someday, i know I will!!! It is such an amazing place and holds a very special place in my heart!

Random Update...

Hello everyone! I am writing to check in and tell everyone whats going on down here. It was a very hectic and interesting first week followed by a slow and somewhat boring second week.

As many of you know, the first day of school Kyle came down with some awful illness. he threw up for like 3 days and then even had to be put on an IV in urgent care because he was so dehydrated. Poor thing! I was so glad i could be there with him and that everything was fine. I was so very thankful i never came down with it. The same week, i decided to take on 19 hours this semester and i have been looking all over campus for a job. well needless to say, it was stressful and eventful.

then, the second week started off great. I was able to go with Kyle that weekend to be with his dad and brothers at six flags in the Dallas area. Ryan (kyles brother), his girlfriend Heather, kyle and I drove to Dallas on friday afternoon and met up with his little brother Collin and dad. we stayed friday night and saturday night. Saturday was a lot of fun. kyles dad took us to six flags and we spent the whole day together riding all the roller coasters. It was really great to spend more time getting to know some of Kyles family. we had a good time.

monday morning hit and i seemed to have nothing to do. my homework load slowed way down and since i am not doing res life anymore, it leaves tons of free time. Today it rained cats and dogs and i got soaked thru 3 times walking to classes. I am getting excited for tomorrow, it is a high temp of 69 degrees!!! boy have i been waiting for that to happen. i am excited to say that in my history class this morning we were handed back our first two quizes and i got 100% on both. then our teacher said the great part, "classes will be canceled for next week on monday and wed.", which means i only have one class those days next week... yay for sleeping in!

All in all this semester has started off slow, but i am excited to get closer to graduating and to be back here with my close friends, my boyfriend, and my sister.

Oh and one more thing thats pretty exciting. Kyle had been trying to decide lately whether he wanted to go to Law school or not. well, after thinking and praying about it, he decided to try and pursue it. he is very excited and im excited for him! he got his LSAT prep book in the mail the other day and he has already been studying and going over it the last few days, so pray for him and all his studying.
