A Week In Abilene With The Family

Hello! I am writing from a hotel room in Colorado. Its nice to finally have a bed and a shower:) We drove all day long from Abilene and we have another very long day of driving to make it to Grandmas tomorrow. I wish we could be in Idaho for longer, I sure miss my cousins, Aunts, Uncles and grandma and it would be amazing if we could stay longer, but unfortunately, we have to get back so soon! I have been back for just about a week now and I have a lot to catch you guys up on. First of all, some of the pictures I am posting are from Pisa, the last place we went before jumping on the plane to come home.

The other pictures are from a long, hot week painting Abigail’s house. She chose a great color, “woodland evergreen” (or something close to that) very northwestern of her:) we all think it looks really great. It took a long time to replace siding, doorframes, and do countless other odd jobs. They put me right to work after I got back, but it looks great! We did get a little break for a few hours on the 4th. We had dinner with our dear friends the Piersals. No fireworks though, that was the depressing part. Abilene is under a Fire ban cause of how dry it is, so we went without fireworks this year:(

I miss Abi a lot already and wish she could have been on this trip home with us. It will be so great to be back in my favorite place with all the people I have missed so much over the last 7 months!

I start my Ethan Allen job on Friday; please pray that everything goes well, especially figuring out transportation stuff to and from Beaverton everyday. I am very excited about it, but I am also nervous and feel rushed! I am also getting very excited that Kyle will be in Portland to visit in a week and a half… it will be a really great trip and everyone will finally get to meet!

So anyway, thanks for all the prayers and I will see you soon! God bless!
