Life as of Now...

Well... sorry guys, its been a long time with no posts:) I have no excuse other than my life not being too exciting and not having much to update you on. (I say that, but you know me... I will probably go on and on about nothing much at all:) hehe)

Well, since graduation I have been working full-time, 8-5, Monday through Friday, at the Honors College at ACU. its going well. I work with one of my very good friends Bethany who is my sisters age. At times the job can be frustrating between issues with some people higher up, our eventual move and lack of work in the summer. We are set to FINALLY move next week (while im gone... oh yea!) to a bigger, much better building, but we have been in the process (by that i mean, packed up, living out of boxes since march)!! it has been VERY frustrating, but soon we will go from a 20x15 foot office with three desks to my own, 12x12 office all to myself (with a window I might add:) ). The school year and a few weeks following keep us VERY busy and we can't seem to keep up, the summer however is a different story... I get bored often and have to find things to keep me busy. All in all, I am blessed to have a job and be able to pay all my bills and start paying off my wonderful large sum of school loans!

Another job I have been doing is trying to start up my own photography business. It is going okay so far, I am excited about some prospects I have, especially when I go home. I will be taking some family and senior pictures when I go to visit. I cant seem to get enough of taking photos and I absolutely enjoy every minute I spend behind the lends. I will be taking bridal portraits of Sarah next semester which will be good experience and a lot of fun! go check it out... kelseybryannephotography.blogspot.com

My house is great... we still LOVE it, its been a really great little place. My roommate Kearby is taking 15 hours this summer and working, so she is very busy. The most recent development in our house is that we are celebrating with our youngest roommate Sarah... she is marrying one of my best friends Jacob! She got engaged last Tuesday and their wedding is scheduled for next June. We are currently looking for our bridesmaids dresses, going wedding dress shopping with her and I am designing the invitations, programs and save-the-dates.

My friends have been in and out all summer vacationing all over, but its my turn now!!! I get to go home in just two days! I couldn't be more ready or excited! We are just going to relax, hang with East County people, see my cousins visiting from Africa, go to the beach and do some of my favorite Oregon things! I think my parents have been ready for me to come home for a while now and its been too long since I have seen my little sisters!

Um, lets see, what else... I am currently in the market for a car. Its been a long, hard summer without access to the world on wheels:) Its hard enough to be stuck here in the desert in 100+ degree weather, with friends that are traveling the country... let me tell you, it only gets worse when you have to be stuck within a 3 mile radius because you don't have a car... All that to say, I am ready to buy and searching hard.

Church is going great here. Kyle and I searched long and hard for about 6 months to find a place while we were dating and we found Wylie. Neither one of us were willing to give it up when we broke up, but you know, God works in mysterious ways and we have been able to still worship together and form relationships with the members there anyways. There is a new family there, Kam and Chris Armstrong and their three kiddos, Evan (little girl who is six) and two little boys, Ty (4) and Brooks (2). They have really been good friends to me and I adore their kids. Evan enjoys sitting with me during services and its good to feel the love from a little kid like that. Kam and I are forming a good friendship as well. I am blessed that God sent them this way! Our preacher and his wife are expecting their first baby in January and that has caused much excitement! I also have gotten to use my major to help the church. We are trying to get rid of the pews and move to using chairs instead. I helped in the process of picking fabrics, chairs and paint for the changes... I just enjoy getting involved with a church like that again. We have a young adults class that meets twice a week and that has been wonderful as well... its just a great place for God to have placed me this year!

Other than that, I guess there's not too terribly much to tell you about. I am just trying to keep busy, enjoy my life down here and have fun with my friends and family.

Man, wasn't I right, I told you I would turn this into a book:) haha, thanks for reading!
